About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at DGIST, where I have been serving since August 2026. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Kookmin University and received my Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI, KAIST under the supervision of Prof. Jong Chul Ye. Prior to my Ph.D., I worked as a senior researcher at the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) for 7.5 years, specializing in wireless communication systems and defense applications.

My research focuses on generative modeling, with a particular interest in developing trustworthy and responsible AI systems. I also explore the intersection of generative models and scientific discovery, aiming to advance scientific understanding and innovation through generative approaches. I lead the GENESIS Lab at DGIST.
